Experienced CNC Milling Setter Operators

Due to an upturn in orders Kaby Engineers one of the UK’s largest sub contract suppliers in Leicester, LE2, are looking to recruit 2 experienced and skilled CNC Miller Setter Operators to join the production Day Shift team. You must have experience of programming and setting CNC machines in line with complex technical drawings to deliver high quality products.

Main duties include but not limited to:

  • Set CNC Milling 3 & 4 Axes machines
  • Operate and make necessary adjustments to machines in line with customer specifications
  • Ensure quality of products are inline with drawings
  • Ensure allocated operation times are achieved inline with KPI’s
  • Run various systems working to tight tolerances
  • Work with Quality Control on inspections using verniers and micrometers
  • Work with production/design for machining capability
  • Comply and adhere to Company Health and Safety standards

 Skills and experience required:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in setting and operating CNC Milling Machines
  • Previous experience of working within an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to read manufacturing drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances
  • Must have experience of measuring finished machined components using typical manual inspection tools
  • Must have cutting tool knowledge and practices to a variety of materials is advantageous
  • Experience with quality requirements including ISO 9001
