Role Responsibilities:
- To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machinery
- Mechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanks
- Electrical repairs to motors, control panels, wiring, relays, contactors, switches and bulbs
- Manager and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
- As required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machinery
- PLC fault finding and interrogation
- Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault
- Electrical repairs may involve working with up to 415 volts AC or DC current
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Comply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines
- Candidate will be expected to work across all company sites in Leicestershire
Essential Experience:
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering 17th Edition
- Minimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines
- Conversant with Fanuc & Siemens controls
- Ability to read and comprehend hydraulic, pneumatic and machine schematic diagrams
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, manuals, correspondence and memos
- Conversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques
